I’m a writer-director, producer, editor, and photographer currently based on the unceded land of Lenape Territory (aka Brooklyn, NY).
I was born in Abuja, Nigeria and moved to the US at the age of five to escape the threat of a hostile military regime. Growing up, I honed my storytelling skills through writing short stories, poetry, and screenplays and acting in school theater. I received my BA in Media Studies from Pomona College. After that, I travelled the world as a Watson Fellow pursuing a passion project about the merging of physical and virtual spaces.
I went on to develop and write video content at Conde Nast Entertainment, for brands such as Vanity Fair, Glamour, and Wired. I then co-produced an indie feature (a neo-noir detective thriller) called "Snakeeater".
As a director, my work has screened at MoMA, NoBudge, Cucalorus Film Festival, and Bushwick Film Festival. I am currently an MFA candidate for Writing and Directing for Film and Television at NYU Tisch Grad Film, where I am the recipient of the Dean’s Fellowship.
In addition to my work as an artist, my passion for humans, community, and connection has led me to work as a facilitator and community builder. I've facilitated small and large-scale wellness and connection experiences and have developed and implemented strategies to foster community and connection within organizations.
